Brendan O'Connor was born in the Bronx, NY, but grew up on Long Island. Raised on Irish music, his Dublin born Father, was an Ironworker and Irish musician for over 40 years. There was always a guitar in the house to strum on, although Brendan didn't actually start playing until the age of 35. He retired from the NYPD about a year after 9/11, after 10 years of service, and moved his wife and 2 kids to Myrtle Beach, SC. It was then that he decided to follow in his father's footsteps, and keep the Irish music tradition going.
Brendan has played all over the Myrtle Beach area, as well as Charleston, New York, Florida, & Ireland. As much as he loves to sing the Irish tunes, he can switch it up to Country, Classic Rock, Oldies, and Beach Music.
As of June, 2021, Brendan is now a permanent Florida resident, and hopes to continue entertaining the people, and making them smile.
